Welcome to the home of curious (un)learners. Thank you for joining us!

Whether you're interested about what or who Mindshifters are, or you already feel like a Mindshifter and want to confirm it, we’re thrilled to have you here.

Let us introduce ourselves.

We are Helena and Jaanika, friends, colleagues, and lifelong learners.

Our favorite topic? Learning itself!

It's exciting, challenging, uncomfortable, rewarding, and most importantly, an omnipresent process that unites as all.

Co-founders of MindShifters in a nutshell

Our professional backgrounds include roles like "training specialist," "trainer," and "development manager," but at the core, it's always been about learning for us.

Whether it’s:

  • A big corporation wanting to create readiness for change through L&D activities,
  • A public sector organization aiming to solve social challenges through educational approaches, or
  • An NGO thriving on supporting professional development in their field,

We've been there.

Having learned from these experiences, we've concluded that individuals—with their hopes, fears, interests, and capabilities—are always at the heart of it. And their needs and aspirations should be taken into account when planning any type of activities supporting their development.

This is why we delved into design thinking and its learning-related fields like human-centric design, Learning Experience Design (LXD), and Instructional Design.

And, to share our passion and collaborate with other likeminded people, who want to go beyond the conventional L&D practices, we created Mindshifters.

What drives Mindshifters?

We believe that true growth comes from shifting perspectives, challenging old beliefs, and embracing new behaviors.

But how to best support that as a people development enthusiast? This is exactly, what we are passionate about!

We invite you along while uncovering new knowledge and perspectives on learning and leveraging them to design transformative learning experiences that empower growth.

At the core of Mindshifters are three values we hold dear: honesty, boldness, and playfulness.

We believe that every truly transformative learning experience starts with honesty. There are a lot of trainings, seminars, workshops and programs delivered every day that haven't had a honest look over the situation, the needs and motivations of the people included. There might lots of "right" answers but not so many honest questions. But we all know that one good question can teach us more than 10 good answers, don't we?

We also crave for more bold choices in the design and implementation of any type of learning journey. Why stick to the conventional methods and ideas that first come to your mind when you could explore the need through design thinking lens and can come up with tools uniquely created for this specific need? 

But one thing we know for a fact. That we learn the best through playful action. The most active meaning-making happens through interactive, experimental approach to any learning goal. This is why we love facilitating interactive learning spaces, whether through LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® or other experiential tools.
